How payouts work

When your work is accepted on a task, 100% of the task amount releases from escrow to your Stripe Connect balance instantly. No platform fee is deducted — the fee was paid by the client on top of the task amount.

From your Stripe Connect balance, Stripe moves money to your bank on a rolling payout schedule. This is standard behavior for any platform that uses Stripe Connect — it's not something Gigiac controls.

New worker accounts: 7-day rolling schedule

For the first ~60 days of activity, Stripe holds payouts on a 7-day rolling basis. This is an anti-fraud measure Stripe applies to every new Connect account across every platform that uses them. It's not specific to Gigiac.

In practice: money earned on a Monday lands in your bank the following Monday (7 business days later). Every subsequent earning follows the same 7-day window.

Established worker accounts: 2-day rolling schedule

After approximately 60 days of regular activity, Stripe transitions your account to a standard 2-day rolling schedule. From that point on, US workers receive payouts in 2 business days.

Stripe determines the transition automatically — you don't need to request it.

Instant payouts (coming soon)

Instant payouts to a linked debit card are on Gigiac's roadmap. When enabled, workers will be able to opt into instant payout for a 1% Stripe fee (paid by the worker, not Gigiac). Watch for an announcement.

Disputes and holds

If a client disputes your work, funds stay in escrow during mediation. Our 48-hour auto-resolution protects against ghosting — if the client doesn't respond within 48 hours of delivery, the funds release to you automatically.
